Workshop on "Alternative Fuels for IC Engines" @ SUCET Mukka A workshop on "Alternative fuels for IC engines" was held on 19th November 2018 at Srinivas university, College of engineering and technology, Mukka by the Department of Mechanical engineering. Dr Kumar GN, Associate Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering, NITK, Surathkal, was the resource person for the workshop. The importance of hydrogen as a alternative fuel for vehicles and other alternative fuels were dealt in the workshop. Workshop on “EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING THROUGH VIRTUAL LABS” @ SUCET Mukka Virtual Labs project is an initiative of Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India under the aegis of National Mission on Education through Information and Communication Technology (NMEICT). This project is a consortium activity of twelve participating institutes and IIT Delhi is coordinating institute. It is a paradigm shift in ICT-based education. For the first time, such an initiative has been taken-up in remote‐experimentation. Under Virtual Labs project, over 100 Virtual Labs consisting of approximately 700+ web-enabled experiments were designed for remote-operation and viewing. The College of Engineering and Technology will remain closed on 20/11/2018 (Tuesday) on account of Eid Milad

ISAP has been conducted for 3rd semester students on 6/10/2018. We have noticed that few students have not given the presentation on ISAP day. These students should contact department coordinator and give the presentation in the next week. The Students those who have not given the presentation will not be permitted to appear for the final examinations. Concerned HODs are requested make an arrangement to complete the presentation within a week.

Regular classes will be conducted for revising ( Completing) the syllabus for 3rd semester Srinivas University students from 19/11/2019( Monday) to 24/11/2018 ( Saturday). Students are requested to attend the classes compulsorily. Action will be taken like withholding the hall tickets for absentees.

Civil Engineering Students Association "SRISTICA" 2018-19 was inaugurated on Friday, 2nd November 2018. Chief Guest Er Roger M Pinto (Managing Director of Mangalore Properties Pvt Ltd)  inaugurated the function. Dr. Anil Kumar (Registrar, Srinivas University) presided over the function. Dr. Shreeprakash B (Dean, SUCET), Dr. Praveen B M (Coordinator, Srinivas University), Dr. Ramakrishna Hegde (Vice Principal & HOD, Dept of Civil Engineering), Sri Ravikiran Suvarna (Faculty Coordinator, SRISTICA), Sri Abhishek I Dadibhavi (President, SRISTICA), Ms. Srinidhi G Naik (Secretary, SRISTICA) were present. The inaugural function of activities of Electronics and Communication Department Students Association (NICSA) was organized at the college on 29th October 2018. Dr. Abdul Kareem, Director, R & D, MIT, Kundapura was the Chief Guest and advised the students to develop skills and work smart in his inaugural address. Dr. Shreeprakash B, Dean, College of Engineering and Technology, Srinivas University, Mangaluru, presided over the function and advised the students to involve in all the activities of the association to develop their personal skills. College of Engineering & Technology, Srinivas University, Mukka celebrated "Rashtriya Ekta Divas (National Unity Day)" to commemorate the Birth Anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel on 31 st  October to foster and reinforce our dedication to preserve and strengthen the unity, integrity and security of our nation. The following events were conducted to mark the occasion; A debate competition was conducted. Prof. Rohan Fernandez gave a short talk about the need for preserving unity in our motherland and in order to re-affirm the inherent strength and resilience of our nation to withstand the actual and potential threats to the unity, integrity and security of our country, the National Unity Day Pledge was read out by him and around 250 students and faculty members took the pledge. The program was attended by the Registrar of Srinivas University Dr Anil Kumar, the Dean Dr Shreeprakash B & the Coordinator Dr Praveen BM.

College will remain closed on 06/11/2018 and 08/11/2018 on account of Naraka Chaturdashi and Deepavali.
