Report of AIMES-2018 Inauguration
The Inaugration of AIMES-2018 (Association of Integrated Mechanical Engineering Students) was held at Srinivas University College of Engineering and Technology, Mukka, Mangalore on 5th October 2018. Mr Narenki Parshwanath, Chief General Manager, Mandovi Motors PVT LTD, Mangalore, inaugurated the programme, was also the chief guest for the function. Students of the Mechanical Engineering Department exhibited various models made out of scrap items.
Speaking on the occasion, the chief guest congratulated the students for the wonderful models made by them. He also stressed on the importance of team work in industries to accomplish the project. Mr Sandesh Karkera, Vice President, AIMES welcomed the gathering. Mr Krishna Swaroop, final year, Mechanical engg, introduced the chief guest to the gathering. Mr Nirmith Salian, President, AIMES gave an overview of activities conducted in AIMES and also spoke about upcoming events of the year. Dr Suma Bhat, HOD, Department of Mechanical Engineering appreciated the work done by the students and advised them to stay motivated. Dr Ramakrishna Hegde, Vice Principal, complimented the team efforts of the students. Dr Shreeprakash B. Presided over the function and congratulated the students for their active involvement in organizing the events. The chief guest distributed the prizes to the students of different years who excelled in academics. Dr Praveen B. M. Chief Coordinator, Srinivas University, was also present during the event. Ms Rakshitha Kotian, secretary, AIMES, delivered the vote of thanks. Mr karthik Basri and Ms Manasa were the master of ceremonies.
