Inauguration of AIMES @ SUCET

Inauguration of Association of Integrated Mechanical Engineering Students (AIMES) for the academic year 2017-18 was held on 12/10/2017 at Srinivas School of Engineering, Mukka. Mr. Ajith Kamath, Vice President, Kanara Small Industries Association, Baikampady and the Proprietor of Ajith Enterprises, Mangalore was the Chief Guest. Dr. Anil Kumar, Registrar, Srinivas University, presided over the function. Mr. Nikhil Kotian, Vice President, AIMES, welcomed the gathering, Mr. Shishir Acharya, Secretary introduced the chief guest to the gathering and Mr. Sheshagiri Tantry, President of the association read the report on previous year activities of AIMES and the proposed activities for the current year.

            Dr. Shreeprakash B, Principal, Dr. Ramakrishna Hegde, Vice Principal, Dr. Suma Bhat, HOD, Mechanical Department, Staff members of Mechanical Engineering Department and HODs of various departments were present during the function. The effort of students in starting the Technotronics Lab and winning various technical competitions outside college was appreciated by the dignitaries. Also, the effort of senior students in conducting a workshop for first year students and inspiring them was commended. Toppers in VTU examinations and winners of Quiz Competition conducted by AIMES were awarded during the program. Mr. Likhith J Devadiga proposed the vote of thanks.

            After the inaugural function, Mr. Ajith Kamath interacted with the students on the ‘Scope of Entrepreneurship in Future’ and also spoke about the various organizations and associations which help the budding entrepreneurs.
